About us

COS Musical Theatre (formerly known as Crawley Operatic Society) is an amateur theatre group based in Crawley, West Sussex.

We have an enviable reputation for producing musicals that are anything but ‘amateur’ in quality.

We stage three shows per year – a musical performed at the Hawth Theatre in Crawley, an extremely popular pantomime and a smaller show, such as an Old Tyme Music Hall or Centre Stage, our version of a musical revue

We rehearse in our own hut in Tilgate Forest as well as at the Broadfield Community Centre, Crawley. Our main rehearsal nights are Mondays and Thursdays.

Who we are for

For those that have a love of singing, dancing and acting, we are always on the look out for new talent and friends to join our wonderful society.

But if you do not want to be on the stage there are so many things to get involved in. From make-up, costumes and props, to backstage crewing, lighting and sound, it takes a lot to put on a show.

We all have a lot of fun putting a show together as a group and you could be part of it.

Whether you would like to appear on stage or help behind the scenes we would love to hear from you. If you feel you would like to join us, do get in touch via our Contact Us page or via our Facebook page.
